Around the Town of Puerto Viejo

Puerto Viejo is the town that we have been living in for a few months now and it's on the south Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We really like it. How best to describe it...rustic, Caribbean, shanti, bohemian, unpretentious, laid back!  The main street runs along the beach with beaches either side, and a town beach in the middle, all entirely different. There's a small grid of four other roads linking with the beach road with cafe's, hotel's, shops etc. It's quite small and has a lot of character. Many of the shops cafe's play music, reggae, chill, soul etc, so there's always a good atmosphere and many friendly faces around.
